SONG ORIGIN
Burned Faceless
Written by Michael Houser
“Burned Faceless” is an unreleased Michael Houser song, discussed in a 1997 interview but never a live staple.
Well, that’s a song that I wrote. I guess we didn’t play it on our last tour. We’re not really comfortable with it right now. We haven’t really found the heart of it yet. It may sit for a couple of years before we ever do anything about it. We write songs all the time. Most of them get to your ears, but some of them don’t. ‘Burned Faceless’ could have used a little more work on our part before we brought it forth. I think you’ll see it reappear, I just don’t know where. I like it; I wrote it.
