Eight shows, three stops, and a whole lot of sand. Spring 2024 was less a tour than a passport: three nights to open the St. Augustine Amphitheatre (March 22–24), four nights of toes-in-the-water down in Quintana Roo for Panic en la Playa Doce — the twelfth edition of the band's destination run at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya — and a single festival drop at New Orleans Jazz Fest on April 25 to close the books.

St. Augustine quietly turned into a Tom Petty tribute. "Running Down a Dream" and "Honey Bee" landed over the first two nights before the run capped on the 24th with the first-ever "Room at the Top," completing a three-night Petty trifecta — a fair nod south to the Gainesville kid. Our cache flags it as the only true FTP of the whole run.

Down on the beach the supporting cast carried the between-sets weight — Trouble No More, Kitchen Dwellers, The Main Squeeze, Daniel Donato, and DJ Logic among the Playa Allstars. The bustout column stayed modest; "Breathing Slow" was the deepest thing off the shelf, back after 133 shows. Short tour, warm water, one new Petty tune. We'll take it.
