SONG ORIGIN
The Take Out

"Take Out" is an instrumental, so lyrically it's hard to attach a title to it: you have to sort of formulate a visual image. A take out is a place on the shore where you pull your canoe out of the water or put it into the water... And uh, Mike's dad is one of those people who -- I think they even made a National Geographic Explorer thing about his group. They do a lot of whitewater canoeing and rafting and exploring and adventuring. And [Mike] just thought about his dad, [and] being on the river, when he wrote that song.
